BIRTH OF OUR FIRST FEATURE FILM

Meeting Praniti and her family for the first time was unforgettable. As a longtime fan, I had watched her YouTube performances on repeat, mesmerized by her incredible voice. Seeing her talent firsthand, I knew she had the makings of a natural actor—expressing emotions effortlessly.

Her parents, Praveen and Priya, welcomed me into their home, where Praniti greeted me with childlike excitement, saying, “Uncle! I am going to play this for you.” She sat at the piano and played a beautiful tune, and her father, surprised, said, “She’s touching it after two months.” It was a moment of pure joy and connection.

Our creative journey started with recording an English song I had written, marking the beginning of something special. Spending time with her—helping with homework, taking her to the mall, and driving her to school functions—deepened our bond and gave life to a new vision.

At the time, I was exploring a film idea, having already worked on a father-son pilot. Inspired by Praniti’s talent, I envisioned a father-daughter theme that could evoke deep emotions. And  Praniti’s rendition of “Kannaana Kanney” (with over 39 million views) sealed the theme.

What began as an idea grew into a full-length feature film, celebrating the unique love between a father and daughter. Themes of family, love, and resilience shaped the narrative.

The project came to life with an exceptional creative team:

Sambath Krishna (former assistant to Director Bala on Pithamagan) brought a beautifully crafted story and we directed the movie together.

Prasanth (Itharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, Kaashmora) shaped the screenplay and played a crucial role in multiple departments.

Editor Abishek Ramesh, our most versatile member, contributed across the board.

Award-winning cinematographer Sam K. Ronald  and Bharath Singham handled the film’s visual artistry while managing other critical tasks.

Tamizhselvan, an assistant director and designer, added his creative touch.

Arun Vijay, a talented actor and assistant director, proved to be an incredible discovery, supported by Pavin.

Praniti’s father, Praveen plays a key role in marketing and post-production.

• Her mother, Priya  ensures every song is polished and contributes to Praniti’s stellar performance.

There are many more talented individuals, and I look forward to featuring them on our movie page soon.

For me, Praniti’s presence on set was more than just acting—it brought warmth to my fatherly longing for my own daughter waiting at home while we filmed. Helping her with homework, watching her grow into her role—it was an unexpected blessing.

Beyond acting, Praniti has breathed life into two songs with her soulful voice, contributing to a total of four songs in the film, all named after her character, Seetha:

1. Seetha’s Birth

2. Seetha’s Love

3. Seetha’s Challenge

4. Seetha’s Devotion

If I had to choose between having Praniti in my life or featuring her in my films, I would choose her presence every time.

Luckily, I don’t have that challenge. Praniti will be a part of all our movies in different roles, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

Here’s to my newfound daughter and to welcoming many more like her into my life.
